Root Tip Accidentally Forced Into Mandibular Canal

This is a case that I saw in Atlanta this week.  The referring veterinarian had attempted to extract the right mandibular 4th premolar and the root tip lodged in the mandibular canal.  She was very astute in recognizing this as a potential problem and referred the case.  We saw it one month post extraction attempt.  Click on the link to see the approach to resolving this case.
